YOU ARE THE PRIMARY ELEMENT OF CHANGE.
Are you in your late 30’s or 40’s and thinking back on how exactly you wound up in the career you are in today? Chances are if you are like me, you took the safe path. You were told to get a job with benefits, a retirement plan and not rock the boat. Work your way up. Move up the corporate ladder. Just work hard and when you are done, retire. Yup, you played it safe and now, you are questioning what you are doing and where you are going?
Let me ask you, do you remember when you were excited about life’s possibilities? When the world was your oyster. You believed you could do anything. Do you ever wonder what happened? When you lost touch with your passions? Have you given up on your dreams?

STOP THE PITY PARTY.
RESTART YOUR PASSION.
Below is a breakdown of the 7 Day Challenge.

Day 1
COMMITTING TO CHANGE
In day one, we will be exploring your commitment to change. We’ll be digging a bit deeper to discover the possible roadblocks you may have put in your way that are preventing you from moving towards your passion and the life you want to lead.
It’s one thing to understand change. It is another to accept a change. Your commitment to change will be sparked by your desire to change.
By attaching our fears and limiting beliefs to our hopes and dreams, eventually over time those hopes and dreams are smothered and that spark fades and the flame is unable to ignite. On day one we will once again start to breath life into that ember and brainstorm ways to re-ignite your passion.
Day 2
TAKING OWNERSHIP THROUGH HONESTY
One of my favorite quotes comes from Mel Robbins, “It’s not easy, but it is simple.” The goal for today is to discover where you are now and where you want to be. You will create a change record, all of the previous attempts you have made to change and the reasons for wanting to make each change.
Next, we dive into what you think has been preventing you from achieving the changes you wanted. Are you being honest with yourself about these roadblocks?
Lastly, we address at your commitment levels. Your desire, priorities, and accountability.

Day 3
DEVELOPING AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE
The third day will key in on how to develop our attitude of gratitude. We will focus on becoming more aware of the positive aspects of our lives and how easy it is to shift our mindset to one of positivity and gratitude. Being thankful is one of the key ingredients to making sustainable change.
By becoming more attuned to all the “positive little things” in our lives, we open ourselves up to becoming more grateful for what we have instead of the other way around. And we begin to approach our lives with a view of abundance instead of scarcity.
Day 4
OVERCOMING NEGATIVE SELF-SPEAK
The fourth day will key in on our habitual vocabulary and negative self-speak. I will be emphasizing the need to cultivate more mindful word usage. The ability to recognize and change the way we describe our emotions and thoughts.
When we are aware of the negative words we use against ourselves, we shine a light on our inner critic. We can then acknowledge, accept and begin to change our negative internal dialogue.
We will discuss how to become more conscious about using an empowering vocabulary and how to quiet self-doubt.

Day 5
CULTIVATING CONFIDENCE
Cultivating self-confidence will require you to start stepping outside of your comfort zone and face your fear with the primary goal of overcoming this fear or increasing your courage and confidence. By leaving your comfort zone and engaging in an activity that challenges your fear, you will be taking a calculated risk of negative social evaluation, however, you will not be exposed to real danger or long-term negative consequences.
We will also cover how to set goals and take risks. By cultivating your confidence, you will be better equipped to embrace life changes.
Day 6
INCREASING SELF-DISCIPLINE
Change absolutely requires commitment. It will also call on your self-discipline. You must be prepared to hold yourself accountable.
Remove excuses, remove blame, and accept the challenge. You are in charge of your world. It’s your choice. Your decision.
“You can’t outsource self-discipline.”
– Billy Alsbrooks –

Day 7
PRACTICING PATIENCE
Most of us have forgotten to be patient and get irritated very quickly over minor things like lineups, traffic jams, a baby crying and other external stimuli we are unable to control. Patience is a skill everybody needs to develop. Patience makes us better people.
Having patience means being able to wait calmly in the face of frustration or adversity, so anywhere there is frustration or adversity. The good news is that we can practice patience in nearly every aspect of our lives. We are given endless opportunities to practice.

Are you in your late 30's or 40's and thinking back on how exactly you wound up in the career you are in today? Chances are if you are like me, you took the safe path. You were told to get a job with benefits, a retirement plan and not rock the boat. Work your way up. Move up the corporate ladder. Just work hard and when you are done, retire.
Yup, you played it safe and now, you are questioning what you are doing and where you are going?
Let me ask you, do you remember when you were excited about life's possibilities? When you believed you could do anything. Do you ever wonder what happened? When did you lose touch with your passion? Have you given up on your hopes and dreams? Or, have they simply gone astray.
